The Track You Can't Resist

There were a few tracks that I thought was pretty good, but when I heard the “Organ Donor,” which is track 9, it made me start bobbing my head real hard. I was drained from a long day, but this track got me hyper because it made me want to get off my seat and start dancing. I didn’t want to look crazy in front of my girlfriend, so I just danced in my seat. The track got me so hooked that I listened to it seven times in a row. I even listened to it while I was typing up this blog. The instruments were what created the elements of the track. I like the piano part the most because the DJ made it sound like he was going crazy with his piano. It sounded like his fingers were all over the keys. The drums really brought out the track too because it gave the beats a lot of base, and that’s what I like. The track is one of those songs that you can play any where you go. You can play the track in your car, on your IPOD and even at parties. Another reason why I like this track so much is because it reminds me of Cambodian modern music. There were some parts that made me say, “Hey that part sounds like one of those Cambodian Hip Hop songs." Overall, I would recommend this song to everyone of any age because it is one of those types of beats that gets everyone off they seat.

  1. I'm glad you enjoyed the song so much. Sometimes when songs have been made long ago they don't appeal to a younger person such as yourself. Having more than one instrument makes it nice too because you get to hear all types like the piano, bass, and drums. His music is unlike others because it has many different themes and types. I like that there is a good beat with less words. The sound you picked made me think of church where there are large organs with many pipes.

  2. While this was not the track is not my favorite, but I have to admit that it was the first song that really caught my attention in the album. Before this song, I started getting worried about what I will write about. This song and the two that follows are the ones I like the most. Organ Donor caught my attention with the beats and music, but it is the title that got it to stick to my mind. The foundation sounds that I heard were organ notes, and were used in a well blended manner than the ones before. It was this song that got me to look at the title of the song and try to see if I can relate it to the music I hear.

  3. This track on Dj Shadow's Record of Entroducing is off the HOOK! I definitely agree that it sounds like he is going crazy on his piano (on an organ sound setting that is). It is pretty dope that when the song transitions to the beat drop base and then the organ hook of the song. I youtube this video and someone mentioned on the comments that it is a good song for break dancers (bgirl and bboy) to dance to. This track is really the one that sticks out because it has flavor to it's unique sound of organs. Good choice!
